Medical Science Liaison

• Develops trust-based relationships with PIs, Sub-investigators, CRCs, scientific thought leaders, and other HCPs through scientific exchange. 
• Makes use of analytics reports, under the guidance of management, to collect interaction details in a timely manner, improve future TL engagements, and manage workload efficiently.
• Shares scientific information in a compliant and effective manner with external stakeholders about both disease state and product at a competent level, as appraised by management coaching and field observations.
• Demonstrates conceptual and practical knowledge of the local and regional referral networks within the geography and understands the link between those plans and patient care delivery in the LATAM region.
• Supports clinical development/operations by understanding IB content, presenting IB material at SIV meetings, proposing trial site nominations, and conducting end-of-study data reviews with investigators as necessary.
• Carries out administrative tasks, such as data entry, vehicle mileage reporting, expense reporting, calendar entries, training assignments, etc., independently, in a timely manner, and in accordance with company policies and procedures, following initial instruction.

Education and Experience

• Minimum requirement for advanced biomedical or life sciences degree (Masters, NP, PA)
• Preference for terminal degree in the biomedical or life sciences (DO, MD, PharmD, PhD)
• Previous experience as a MSL, or in other medical affairs roles in the pharma/biotech industry is desirable Previous training or experience in Nephrology area is helpful
• Proficient in both oral and written English and Portuguese. Fluency in Spanish is an added advantage.
• Travel requirements for this role may require overnight stays, up to 70% of the time, depending on the assigned geography. This may also include occasional weekend travel.
