Do you have experience assisting the pharmacy staff in overseeing and executing all protocol requirements within the pharmacy as they pertain to study medication(s) in accordance with Good Clinical Practice (GCP), Good Documentation Practice (GDP), Food Drug and Administration (FDA) requirements, sponsor expectations and Early Phase Services CPU Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)?

The Pharmacist will maintain accurate documents pertaining to the receiving, dispensing, returning and/or destruction of all study mediations.  You will oversee all pharmacy technicians operations and the scheduling thereof as deemed necessary.  Address any problems or issues that occur pertaining to the study medication during the duration of the study.  Familiarize and understand protocol specific requirements.  Oversee, coordinate, prepare and account for and dispense study medication based on protocol instructions and within data provided by the sponsors.  Familiarize, understand, and apply all Standard Operating Procedures applicable to job description.  Carry out all reasonable directives from the project Manager (PM), Medical Director (MD) or Principal Investigator (PI).  Understand, maintain and educate staff on medication delivery systems (i.e. infusion pumps) as necessary.  Complete medication accountability documents as required by protocol and participate as appropriate, in client visits and communicate with sponsor representatives.
 
In the absence of the Manager Pharmacy, provide line management and/or functional support to pharmacy staff.  Assist the Pharmacy Technician(s) in the execution of all protocols as they relate to GCP and GDP.
  • Delegate and provide assistance/support to pharmacy staff.
  • Manage projects in accordance with established timelines, and quality standards.

To succeed you will need:
We are seeking candidates with a BS. Or Pharm.D.in Pharmacy from an accredited College of Pharmacy along with a current Registered Pharmacist Certificate.  You must have a minimum of 2 years of relevant Clinical Research, Hospital pharmacy, or Retail pharmacy with experience in IV admixture
 
To be successful you will be expected to have excellent written, oral communication, interpersonal and problem-solving skills in the communications with the investigators, sponsor representatives and all staff within the study.  Knowledge of the administration systems utilized in study protocols.  You must be proficient with Microsoft Office along with understanding the concept of a “blinded” study and the importance of maintaining this blind when the pharmacist in unblinded.  You must possess the ability to work independently with a willingness to make decisions as well as working with a team.
