This is an exciting opportunity to work within a fast paced, busy environment for a leading global provider of outsourced development services to the pharmaceutical, biotechnology and medical device industries. Working as a Laboratory Assistant you will assist and aid the technical staff with the handling and storing of, and accounting for biological lab specimens and quality control.

Overview of the role
Responsible for assisting the Scientific Affairs Specialists with the day to day support of scientific and technical queries.
 
  • Responsible for overseeing the production of a new Scientific Affairs tracking / helpdesk system to help organize day to day activities while collecting pertinent metrics.
  • Responsible for review, assignment and generation of data reports from new Scientific Affairs System to allow the specialist to have the relevant data in hand, as needed.
  • Responsible for electronic filing of study documents, referral lab information, conversion factors, reference ranges, etc to better archive Scientific Affairs facts and start a FAQ knowledge base for both Scientific Affairs and their internal customers.
  • Responsible to help maintain accurate and up to date information in Test Master.

Role Requirements
Applicants must have been in receipt of Jobseekers Allowance/ Jobseekers Benefit/ One Parent Family Payment or signing for Social Insurance Contribution Credits for a minimum period of three months within the last six months.

University/Bachelors Degree /Diploma or equivalent degree in medicine, a life science or another relevant discipline is highly desirable.

Proficient using a personal computer and Excel.
