Senior Copywriter / Scientific / Medical Writer - West Coast or Midwest

We are looking for a Senior Copywriter to join our winning team rated by Forbes as the highest ranked CRO of America’s best midsize employers in 2018, second year in a row!

In this role, you will be responsible for partnering with internal teams and clients to develop strategically sound market access and managed care marketing materials for multiple pharmaceutical brands. As Senior Copywriter, you will collaborate with account team members, medical staff, medical editors, art directors, interactive designers, and presentation specialists to create compelling payer value propositions, market and disease backgrounders, sales training materials, and customer-facing tools that help maximize access and reimbursement for our clients’ health care brands.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with account and medical staff to develop content strategies that support market access objectives across the product lifestyle
• Participate in the ideation and development of multi-channel tactical solutions
• Translate clinical and economic data into compelling payer messaging and value stories
• Take charge of the copy from manuscript to execution, working closely with art directors to develop layouts and with medical editors to ensure complete medical accuracy and compliance with client guidelines and FDA regulations
• Provide strategic rationale when presenting and defending content, while remaining open to alternative explorations and feedback
• Participate in client medical/legal submissions and approval process
• Stay up-to-date on brand objectives, market trends, and competitive landscape in each therapeutic area
• Uphold internal processes, procedures, and project timelines

To Succeed You Will Need:

• Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in a science, communications, journalism, public health, or related field. 
• Advanced degree (MBA, MPH, PharmD) is a plus.
• Minimum of 3 years of healthcare or pharmaceutical marketing communications experience
• Minimum of 1 year in managed markets preferred
• Experience writing copy for sales collateral, including PowerPoint, print, and digital media with minimal supervision
• Demonstrated ability to comprehend and translate complex clinical information and market trends in health care reimbursement
• Proven track record of collaborating with creative and account team members to produce superior content
• Strong interpersonal communication and problem-solving skills (written, verbal, and listening)
• Ability to prioritize and organize work with an urgency to uphold internal and client deadlines
• Comfort in managing the referencing and regulatory review process
• Excellent work ethic and commitment to process excellence
• Knowledge of Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Adobe Acrobat
