Senior Epidemiologist
Location: Canada (Remote) or US (Remote)
This is an opportunity to work for ICON Global Health Economics, Outcomes Research and Epidemiology (GHEORE), a division of ICON plc, an international clinical research organization headquartered in Dublin, Ireland.
We are currently seeking a Senior Epidemiologist with strong technical expertise in observational study design and strong project management skills to join our Epidemiology team.
The Epidemiology team works on a range of disease areas and study designs. We undertake studies to characterize treatment patterns, disease natural history, burden of illness, patient preferences, real-world effectiveness and safety, benefit-risk, and data base mapping. We use a variety of study designs to obtain these estimates, including prospective and retrospective data collection; analysis of clinical and administrative databases; and systematic literature review.
The Sr. Epidemiologist will manage projects and is expected to provide expertise relating to the design and conduct of studies, and will contribute to reporting and interpreting the findings.

Role requirements:
- Strong project management skills and serves as the main point of contact for clients
- Ability to manage complex projects
- Technical knowledge of observational and non-interventional study designs, particularly chart review and survey studies
- Ability to lead and provide support to project team
- Preparing study protocols and reports
- Designing data collection forms and data structure for observational studies
- Knowledge of regulatory and IRB requirements for non-interventional studies an asset;
- Additional valuable skills would include:
Proposal writing, Business development activities
Contributing to systematic literature reviews
Mentoring junior team members
Role requirements:
- MSc or PhD in Epidemiology, or related field
- CRO or Pharma experience will be preferred
- Excellent organizational skills including written and verbal communication
- Detail oriented with the ability to multi-task efficiently
- Strong oral and written English communication skills, coupled with strong interpersonal skills
- Strong project management experience
