Based in our Global HQ in Leopardstown, this is a fantastic opportunity to join the elite internal audit team focused on making an impact globally and supporting ICON’s mission – to help its clients accelerate the development of drugs and medical devices that save patient lives and improve their quality of life.

The Role

Working within the Internal Audit Function, you will:

• Plan and execute audit projects which provide assessment of internal control processes and operational performance, in accordance with professional IIA standards.
• Prepare and review audit work papers and reports, documenting the result of assigned activities, including recommended management actions.
• Prepare detailed plans for performing individual audits including the identification of key risks and controls, determination of audit objectives, and development of appropriate audit programmes. Recommend the necessary staff and budget to complete the project.
• Prepare under minimal supervision, audit reports designed to provide operating and Corporate management and the Audit Committee of the Board of Directors with an objective assessment of processes and operations, and management’s planned corrective actions.
• You will assist in the development and execution of a comprehensive audit plan based upon risk assessment, management’s goals and objectives, and the requirements of the Board Audit Committee. Identify potential audit areas, assists with assessing the degree of inherent risk, and estimating the time and skills required to complete audit projects.
• Handle special projects or studies, including risk assessments, fraud investigations, audit department policy updates, due diligence acquisition reviews, etc.
• Provide assistance for annual SOX404 certification requirements.

Experience & Knowledge Requirements:

• Accounting qualification
• Minimum 3 years audit experience working in the external or internal audit environment.
