Senior Manager, HR Business Partnering

We have an incredible opportunity for a HR Professional to join our HR Business Partnering team. In this role, you will support a sub-set of ICON largest business unit, Clinical Research Services (CRS). In this role you will support CRS leaders to build and implement HR plans and solutions in order to achieve strategic goals and deliver results. This role combines a blend of operational HR business leadership and is responsible for playing a meaningful role in driving the agenda for employee engagement and culture as well as talent and performance management.
As a creative and strategic thinker you will have experience in areas such as talent management (succession planning), employee engagement, change management, employee relations and country and regional HR compliance.
The Role:
- Provide strategic direction across a wide-range of HR matters spanning the full employee life cycle.
- Ability to influence and partner with different levels of the organization to achieve results.
- Strong business and HR acumen, including strong problem solving skills, critical thinking, and self-initiative
- Demonstrable ability to coach managers to use company best practices for maximum effectiveness.
- Serve as a thought partner to the business and within the HR team on a variety of key strategic programs including performance management, organizational design, and succession. planning, and talent reviews.
- Build strong working relationships with key leaders within CRS, partnering with them to implement a people plan.
The Person:
- At least 5 years' experience within a HR Manager role.
- Degree qualified.
- CIPD or local equivalent is a nice to have but not essential.
- An understanding of employment law would be helpful.
- Ability to manage complex projects across multiple departments, sometimes with very short timelines.
- Demonstrable experience working across and leading large HR projects globally.
- Demonstrable experience within employee relations, change management, talent and reward.
- Experience working with senior management.
- Excellent presentation skills.
- Some financial acumen is required (understanding of targets, revenue, budgets etc.)
- Personable with superb communication skills.
- Strong excel skills are required.
- A solutions focused and strategic thinker with strong influencing and negotiating skills.
