About the role
As a Senior Manager of Clinical Vendor Management you will be joining the world’s largest & most comprehensive clinical research organisation, powered by healthcare intelligence.
The Senior Manager of Clinical Vendor Management will provide leadership in the implementation of quality initiatives and business processes, achievement of its management goals and objectives within the framework of the company mission, policy and philosophy. He/she will promote quality through effective communication, training and mentoring, with the goal of ensuring operations’ consistent use of vendor processes, methodology, and best practices to ensure quality and timely deliverables.
Responsibilities:
- Has thorough understanding of vendor capabilities, systems, and related processes
- Support for vendor selection
- Support for project specific vendor start up strategy (contracting timelines, risk review)
- Trains and coaches DPDs, Project Team Leads and FMs on best practices related to vendor processes
- Participates in and develops stakeholder communications
- Identifies trends for vendor issues and works with vendor and functional representatives to identify training needs and/or make appropriate process changes.
- Facilitates preferred provider evaluation/selection process
- Responsible for scheduling and overseeing governance meetings with preferred vendors (performance, process, metrics review).
- Ensures vendor agreements include the appropriate terms for assigned vendor service categories.
- Communicate with Quality Assurance representatives for vendor specific auditing needs or qualifications
- Provides business development support (RFI, proposal, bid defense, etc)
- Provides recommendations to executive management and stakeholders on strategic direction for assigned vendor relationships
- Analyzes competitive offerings and potential partner relationships to drive the selection of new preferred providers through strategic evaluation of competing vendors in the industry
- Represents PRA in front of the client at business development meetings, bid defenses and for issues resolution
- Drafts and/or edits training materials and process flows.
Addtional Needs:
- Demonstrated advanced training and mentoring skills
- Proven verbal, written, and presentation skills to communicate at all levels of the organization.
- Inquisitive with advanced analytical skills.
- Ability to promote change and facilitate the change management process.
- Ability to articulate and execute a customer service vision aligned to the overall company strategy
- Read, write and speak English; fluent in host country language required.
Requirements:
- Six plus years of experience in CRO or Healthcare related industry with experience in vendor
- management.
- Experience in contract management.
- Experience in managing, training and coaching professional staff.
- Microsoft Office
