Overview:
The Senior Product Manager will manage the delivery of a number of products. This includes product feasibility assessment, incorporating feedback from stakeholders, prioritizing those items, costing them, and tracking them from the complete Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) through to the delivery of products into pilots, production, and demonstration environments.
Additionally, the Senior Product Manager works with pilots to establish expectations, manage them, gathering feedback on their experiences, new requirements, and any issues that might arise from the usage of products.
The role:

- As a Manager, the employee is expected to recognize the importance of and create a culture of process improvement with a focus on streamlining our processes adding value to our business and meeting client needs.
- Travel (approximately 30%) domestic and/or international.*
- *Determine/negotiate goals, time frames, funding limitations, deliverables , roadmap, staffing requirements and allotment of resources to a portfolio of products
- *Work with Stakeholders to ensure the product delivers the planned benefits and that those are fully realized in partnership with the business and/or clients where applicable.
- *Responsible for the launch of the end product ensuring all operational elements are fully tested, piloted and ready for launch. Lead the technical input to RFI/RFP responses and represent ICON in business development activities as required.
- *Support best practice, seek customer feedback, implement corrective actions and exploit opportunities for cost reduction and continuous improvement within the Clinical Trial space
- *Build and maintain effective working relationships with Sponsors and business stakeholders to ensure that Firecrest delivers new products that drive revenue growth within ICON
- Establish and maintain regular communication with teams, set personal development objectives and give performance feedback in order to create a high performing culture.
- Provide input into the strategy and vision for Research and Development based on experiences with stakeholders, industry knowledge, and insights garnered from publications.
- Provide input to case studies from pilot experiences.
- To undertake other reasonably related duties as may be assigned from time to time.

- Experience: EU/APAC: 10+ years of prior relevant experience in progressive IT as part of software development team with an emphasis on leadership and planning (or other applicable areas)
- Subject Matter Expertise in Agile Methodology.
- Proven track record of success in leadership role in order to achieve ICON goals leading to continued success.
- Proven ability to attract, retain, and develop talented direct reports.
- Strong product development, testing, validation and engineering skills.
- Energetic individual, eager to manage multiple activities and priorities. Dedication to quality in all work tasks and deliverables.
- Excellent understanding of the software business and its practices.
- Active involvement in the use of online communities and an understanding of the use of current online and digital technologies
- Due to the nature of this position it may be required for the employee to travel. Therefore, dependent on the employee’s location, the employee may be required to possess a valid Driver’s license.
