Responsibilities

• *Travel (approximately 15%) domestic and/or international
Job Functions
• Design and develop and maintain software solutions with minimal supervision and direction.
• Acts as Business Analyst on selected projects, defining requirements and other technical specifications, in addition to writing and unit testing code
• Delivers to a high quality standard within agreed time scales.
• Plans and takes ownership of own work and any issues relating to same.
• Solves problems that arise in own area of responsibility.
• Develops technical competence on technologies relating to assignments and other technologies as directed
• Provides regular feedback to manager and/or designee on work status and problem areas.
• Provides input to team project schedule.
• Actively supports teamwork both within own group and across Development, by offering assistance to other team members in an effort to achieve team goals.
• Participates in code and design reviews
• Constantly proposes improvements to systems
• Proactively promotes optimal solutions and resolves issues across multiple systems and processes.
Responsibilities
• Accountable for following defined processes and procedures, and highlighting in a timely manner any related problems with same.
• Accountable for applying knowledge and ingenuity to solve basic to moderate problems that arise in areas of responsibility, and escalating when necessary.
• Accountable for the timely execution of agreed objectives, to a high quality standard.

• Conduct: Conducts work in a professional manner and displays positive attitude towards ICON
• Adaptable/Flexible: Undertakes a variety of tasks willingly. Consistently devotes time towards research of new tools and technologies and proposes adoption
• Planning & Organizing: Organizes own time and schedule to deliver on commitments. This will involve working under pressure at times. Self improves due to experience gained and lessons learnt from mistakes. Keeps management continually informed about project/task status and escalates risks and impediments at appropriate levels
• Decision Making Skills: Can make decisions within the parameters of own job. Is capable of taking independent decisions at project/team level resulting in positive impact and overall progress.
• Leadership Skills: Capable of leading a small team, acting either as Scrum Master and/or a technical co-ordinator. Leads by example and inspires confidence. Provides constructive and timely feedback to team members
• Negotiating and Influencing Skills: Can harmonize discordant views and find the best way forward. Is able to influence technical direction in own area of expertise
• Mentoring: Allocates time to support the technical growth of team members
• Quality: Has self belief in quality initiatives. Monitors team for any lack in this area and grooms them appropriately for quality adherence. Takes ownership of delivering projects with high quality
Business
• Object Oriented Design: Excellent understanding of OO methods
• Agile: Excellent working knowledge of Agile/Scrum principles
• Re-Factoring: Ability to actively re-factor code including identifying opportunities for code re-use
• Recruitment: Participates in staff recruitment
• Organization Structure: Has a good understanding of ICON’s organization structure, including the role of the PMO, the clinical organization structure and the inter-dependencies between IT and the business
• ICON’s Systems: Has a strong knowledge more than one of ICON’s systems and a working knowledge of one or more other systems. Understands how these systems are related to business needs. Can analyze and automate business processes across departments/divisions
• A good understanding of ICON’s business
• Other duties as assigned
You will need:
4 Years of experience in JAVA or Python programming.
Should have exposure in Spring boot and API.
