Team Lead, Language Services
Location: Raleigh, US
Our Language Services team is part of our Commercialisation and Outcomes group, working out of our offices in Reading (UK), Raleigh-Durham (US), Lyon (France), Barcelona (Spain), and Seoul (Korea). The team provides Translation and Linguistic Validation related to the translation of materials supporting global clinical research to both internal clients and external sponsors. Our Linguistic Validation team specializes in the translation of COAs (Clinical Outcome Assessments), including consulting with clients on methodologies required based on industry best practice and FDA guidance. The team handle all aspects of the management and execution of Linguistic Validation projects, from proposal right through to final delivery to the client.
We currently have an opportunity for a Team Lead based out of our Raleigh, US office. In this role you will actively supervise and manage the Linguistic Validations Client Management team of 8-10 individuals and will have strong knowledge and experience in translation and Linguistic Validation of COAs (Clinical Outcome Assessment).
Role responsibilities:
* Maintains acute awareness of the pharma / biotech / medical device industry landscape as it relates to department specific service-related trends and challenges and guides awareness for junior staff.
* Drives understanding and awareness of project team members on the nature of client relationships and supports the building/broadening of these relationships where appropriate.
* Proactively develops new project management practices and operational systems to drive project efficiencies, quality and risk management.
* Oversees functional team of project and/or operational staff ensuring proper training and resourcing levels.
* Develops and mentors staff through training and coaching opportunities and by creating process guides, best practice documents and other materials.
* Monitors and ensures PCS staff are providing a level of service and quality deliverables which falls within our high standards, may manage a portfolio of active projects.
* Identify and assesses risk in projects and build in assumptions to the proposal to address those risks.
* Actively contribute to organizational learning by obtaining internal/external client feedback and tracking issue resolution.
* Supports the development of new staff by carrying out designated training plan and serving as a mentor.
