About the Vice President, Project Management (CV/Met) at ICON:
 
Location: Any US or EU ICON Office
 
ICON is seeking a Vice President of Project Management to provide leadership for the overall global Cardiovascular Project Management team in a complex matrix environment executing multiple sponsor programs. Ultimately responsible for the Project Management function overseeing the consistency and quality of all project communications, direction, implementation, coordination, execution, control and completion for global cross-functional and single service projects. Develop, deploy and implement Project Management methodologies, standards and procedures (including tools, metrics, etc.). Ensure adherence to established Project Management methodology, ICON SOPs, and study contracts and budgets. 
 
The TA Head will carry out all relevant line management responsibilities including goal-setting and development plans. Leading and managing the global leadership team through empowering and coaching them to deliver their key department objectives. Foster a performance driven and empowered culture across global teams. Represent ICON as CV/Metabolic TA Head and person of expertise across key client portfolios on executive steering committees and at bid defense meetings. Developing key relationships with customers and where needed participate on customer steering committees.

To succeed you will need:
The successful candidate will possess an educational degree with extensive experience conducting and overseeing clinical trials and ICH GCP. You will need 15+ years direct project management and clinical research experience within a CRO or Pharmaceutical environment while managing Director level staff. Advanced drug development knowledge and experience with 8-10+ years recent Cardiovascular clinical trial experience. Project Management oversight skills, commercial awareness and operational P&L experience required. Ability to travel at least 30% internationally and preferably in close proximity to a major ICON office such as North Wales, PA, Raleigh, NC, Sugarland, TX or Brentwood, TN.
