We are looking for individuals interested in patient-centered outcomes research including health related quality of life (HRQL), treatment satisfaction, patient preferences and adherence. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who thrives in a fast paced environment to work within ICON's consultancy arm, which provides services to the pharmaceutical, biotechnology and medical device industries. Our Patient-Reported Outcomes (PRO) group is seeking an Associate Outcomes Researcher to join the team in Bethesda, MD.

Overview of the role

This position includes the design and validation of surveys, conducting patient interviews, data analysis and interpretation, literature review, report writing, and client liaising. Specific tasks are likely to include:

?         Assist with literature searches and article extraction under the supervision of more senior team members.

?         Assist with data collection, including conducting patient interviews and focus groups (some travel necessary)

?         Assist with quantitative data analysis using SAS/SPSS and qualitative analysis using specialized software (experience with software packages preferable but not essential)

?         Draft, review, and assist with client deliverables including reports, study protocols, and other study materials under the direction of senior team members.

?         Assist with developing manuscripts and conference publications.

Role requirements

?         Master's level or higher in public health (MPH), psychology, sociology, pharmacy, epidemiology or related discipline, or a Bachelor's degree in psychology, sociology, or related discipline.

?         This is an entry level position for candidate with 0-2 years of experience.

?         Experience performing survey design research and/or conducting interviews/focus groups preferred but not required.

?         Experience with qualitative and/or quantitative methodology and analysis preferred but not required

?         Well-developed written and oral communication skills

?         The ability to work independently but also to work effectively as part of a team
