As a Business Intelligence Developer you will be joining the world’s largest & most comprehensive clinical research organisation, powered by healthcare intelligence.
- Support continuous improvement in technologies, methodologies, and processes. This positions supports the clinical trials scientists and the Med Directors
o Bridge the medical needs and the needs of programming, IT, and data management functions.
o Review and explore raw data files to identify data issues and meaningful trends
o Identify incorrect trends and findings arising due to incorrect data processing and transformation
o Differentiate pseudotrends that arise from data issues from actual trends related to the data content
o Interact with relevant function, i.e. statistical programmers and data managers to explain CTS needs and help translate clinical needs into programming specs
• Explore technological possibilities including automation/ AI options that help to increase efficiencies
o Explore Excel power query as a preferred low-level complexity programming tool to automate repetitive processing steps to address recurrent CTS data review needs
o Write power query transformation steps that prepare data from typical clinical data environment sources to be usable in Power BI interactive dashboards
o Update and enhance Power Query and Power BI content according to regular CTS needs for both regular and ad-hoc medical review
o Provide technical contributions leveraging business acumen to accelerate efforts on advanced data-driven decisions.
o Support the digital transformation and contribute to the identification of further development opportunities of the IT landscape within Oncology Development
o Facilitate the development and production of tools that leverage the Clinical Trial Scientists’ capabilities in the Oncology development trials.
• Support in identifying potential efficiency gains and help achieve them.
o Develop tools to automate and/or facilitate standard manual CTS processes
o Ensure maximal standardization while keeping the necessary medical flexibility across
the study teams and projects.
o May interact with key stakeholders in other close areas of the business that participate
in the safety/efficacy data transformation chain including medical standards, CRF developers, MRS programmers and ODA programmers
o Provide high-quality safety data expertise for Oncology Development Operations.
• Support in developing and maintaining the content of Safety Tables, Figures, and Listings (TFLs)
o Supports the discussion on required core safety TLFs, compound specific TFLs, and for potential additional TFLs.
o Supports the entire team of Clinical Trial Scientists in understanding, interpretation, and presentation of clinical safety data.
o Approves the development of study-specific safety TFLs if needed, in collaboration with the study team, StM/DM/Stats, and Clinical Development Leaders (CDLs)
- 2-3 years of experience in a similar role
- Power BI or microsoft power suite would be nice to have
- Experience delivering tools, analysis and data solutions
- Clincal database programming experience with a blend of clinical trial process knowledge
- Understanding Tables, Listings in Figures and how they are programmed
