Job Title                           : Director Statistical Programming
Reporting to                  : Sr. Director Statistical Programming (Global)
Type of Employment : Full Time
Location                          : UK/Ireland

Key Responsibilities & Duties:

  • Responsible for assigned Statistical Programming Managers/Team Leads/similar role and staff under his/her jurisdiction, overseeing consistency and quality of communications, planning, implementation and delivery of statistical programming function.
  • Provide leadership and line management for assigned Statistical Programming Managers/Team Leads/similar role and staff to ensure that established time, cost and quality commitments are met. 
  • Serve as a senior level liaison for strategic client relationships and act as a point of escalation for any issues that require senior level input and review.
  • Increase efficiency and quality of statistical programming services to improve performance, utilization, delivery and profitability in line with departmental and project level goals and objectives.
  • Responsible for meeting all relevant financial objectives established for statistical programming function at a departmental and project level, as applicable.
  • Identify, evaluate and implement continuous process improvement for statistical programming function with a focus on reduced cost and increased margin whilst maintaining quality. Liaise effectively with global counterparts to execute changes on a global basis, as appropriate.
 
  • Function as a departmental resource to contribute to statistical programming strategy, business development, cross-functional communication and management of audit activities, as required.
 
Academic or Trade qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree, in a quantitative or scientific discipline, or local equivalent.
 
Skills requirements:
  • Proven track record of managing and motivating local and remote programming teams; improving engagement and enablement
  • Excellent people management skills (esp. recruitment, coaching and development).
  • Strong  technical programming skills
  • Well connected to the industry (esp. in UK/Ireland)
  • Prior experience of working in a CRO environment preferred
