This is an entry-level role in the editorial department and a huge opportunity to work with a growing team. The incumbent provides administrative support for electronic submissions as well as the permissions acquisition function. The ideal candidate would be an experienced administrative assistant or an entry level editor who is analytical, technically savvy, and multitask-oriented, with excellent time management, attention to detail, and verbal and written communication skills. A customer service orientation, as well as good organizational and problem-solving skills are essential.

Works as an extension of the editorial team, performing various duties to support the submission of projects for client review and production
- Primary responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Processes all permissions requests
- Uploads references to client systems for submissions
- Masters electronic submission requirements for pharmaceutical clients
- Links references in client systems for project submissions
- Secondary responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Assists in maintaining reference folders and preparing references
- Maintains internal bibliographies
- Proofreads projects and other materials against backup
- Uses the time reporting system appropriately and as directed each week
- Completes other administrative tasks, such as T&E reporting or similar, in a timely manner
- Performs responsibilities in a professional manner, meeting the Company’s mission and goals
To Succeed You Will Need:
- Bachelor's degree from 4-year college or university; or 2 or more years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
- Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization
- Must demonstrate a command of the English language (read, write and speak)
- Exceptional written and verbal communications skills
- Ability to be a contributing team member
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office suite a must
