This is an exciting opportunity for an Epidemiologist that’s seeking to work in the Clinical Research Industry. Learn more about how you can be a part of the Epidemiology team that offers services supporting global clinical and outcomes research initiatives.
We are currently seeking an Epidemiologist to join our team within the Epidemiology Practice, based out of Vancouver or Toronto
About the Epidemiologist role within ICON:
The epidemiology team works on a range of disease areas and study designs. We undertake studies to estimate region-specific incidence, prevalence morbidity, mortality and natural history of target conditions. We use a variety of study designs to obtain these estimates, including prospective and retrospective data collection; and analysis of clinical and administrative databases. Additional services offered by the epidemiology department include infectious disease modeling, risk-benefit modeling, strategic consultation and trial design, systematic reviews and meta-analysis, and treatment parameterization.

To succeed you will need:
You will need to perform essential duties satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
A Master’s degree or equivalent in a biological, statistical or epidemiological science discipline, or as otherwise relevant
At least 5 years of industry experience
Experience working in a health care/consultancy environment desirable.
Additional preferred qualifications:
A strong desire to learn and gain a deep understanding of the work of the department
The ability to work effectively as part of a team
Self-motivation
Flexibility and a willingness to respond to the needs of the department
An interest in health care decision making
