The Finance Systems Manager will be the person to have ownership for certain modules in one of our key financial applications – APECS & Oracle. The successful candidate will have strong functional knowledge of the application / modules in question, expected to have excellent problem solving skills with a determination to work through whatever problem that he / she is presented with as well as own the interaction with the business in terms of ensuring the application is both supported and enhanced in an efficient and timely manner. *LI-MB1
The person should have strong interpersonal and leadership skills and move comfortable between the technical/ functional & more business focused discussions.
JOB FUNCTIONS/RESPONSIBILITIES :
- This role will be a mix of Oracle R12 Support & Enhancement Work
- Act as level two support for Oracle R12 EBS issues. Escalate for resolution where appropriate.
- Research and provide solutions to issues reported by the user or other team members.
- Must be able to work closely with the business to address system enhancements and process issues.
- Recommend upgrades / patches to the Oracle EBS suite & APECS.
- Develop new extensions or configure current modules as needed to address business issues.
- Document user procedures / processes along with SOX and best practices
- Thoroughly test configurations, business rules, extensions, enhancements / modifications and management of the migration process into the production environment.

SUPERVISION
- The candidate will be expected to provide thought leadership to ensure all design decisions are optimal and clearly articulated to the business.
- The candidate will be expected to assist in solving functional issues
- Ensure work is prioritised.
- Act as an escalation point for the business.
EXPERIENCE, SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS
- Extensive experience with Oracle EBS including R11 / R12.
- Extensive knowledge of Oracle EBS concepts, systems, software solutions and business modules with a focus on General Ledger, Receivables, Advanced Collections & Oracle Project Accounting
- Very strong interpersonal and communication skills and ability to interact positively with upper management as well as communicating problems to appropriate teams within our organization.
- Ability to partner with senior-level management
- Strong problem solving and business process design skills with the ability to configure Oracle modules and specify extensions.
- Good understanding of how to operate on Metalink/MOS.
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
- Degree Qualified with Business and IT Background.
- Accounting Qualification.
- Oracle R11 / R12 Certified.
- Project Management Certification (preferable but not mandatory)
