Financial Accountant

ICON PLC is currently recruiting for a Financial Accountant on a Permanent Hybrid working basis, to join our team based in our HQ in Leopardstown, Dublin.

The role is an excellent opportunity for a Newly Qualified ACA, ACCA or CIMA Accountant, as well as a first time out of Practice mover, who's looking to take on a more challenging & involving Reporting focused position, which allows a commercial overview as well as Financial Business Partnering.

The Financial Accountant, will be responsible for:

• Weekly cash-flow monitoring and reporting.
• Liaising with and assisting external auditors - at both group and local levels.
• Assisting Finance Manager with various relevant information requirements.
• Assisting Tax Manager with tax queries across a range of European entities.
• Manage full Trial Balance and maintain Balance Sheet reconciliations.
• Prepare Monthly Financial Information for 2 or more European entities, including Management Accounts.
• Ensure timely and accurate financial information is produced in order for the company to meet established goals and objectives while ensuring statutory requirements are adhered to.
• Calculation of Cost-plus revenue.
• Compliance (VAT returns, Statutory Financial Statements, CT returns and all other filings are completed and filed in accordance with local legislation & timelines).
• Ensuring all processes are SOX compliant.

To be considered for the Financial Accountant role:

• Qualified ACA/CIMA/ACCA with good accounts preparation experience.
• Good Systems experience.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to work on own initiative.
• Experience assisting Finance Manager with various relevant information requirements.
