Health Outcomes Researcher
Location: Stockholm, Sweden (Office based)

We are currently seeking a health outcomes researcher (statistician/biostatistician/epidemiologist/health economist, or related discipline) with an interest in the analysis of retrospective and prospective data sources to join our team within the Data Analytics and Epidemiology (DAE) team, based in Stockholm, Sweden. This is an exciting role with the opportunity to learn and grow analytical and project management skills.

Key responsibilities of the role would include:
- Assisting in the preparation of study protocols;
- Assisting in the preparation of statistical analysis plans;
- Designing the tabular and graphical summaries for reporting study results;
- Conducting statistical analysis, as directed by senior staff;
- Preparing methods and results sections for reports;
- Designing data collection forms and data structure for observational studies;
- Contributing to systematic literature reviews (including screening and data extraction);
As needed, the epidemiologist would be expected to contribute to additional tasks to support the Epidemiology team. Additional roles may include:
- Proposal writing;
- Participating in the conduct of patient studies;

Collecting costing and resource utilization data from multiple sources -

often requires liaison with other health information agencies internationally;
- Assisting in the preparation ethics approval submissions; and
- Report writing and formatting.
This role will require an individual who is able to work on multiple projects simultaneously, and rapidly absorb information on different disease areas.
ICON is committed to supporting the growth and development of the epidemiology team. The individual recruited for this role will have the opportunity to attend courses to further their skills in applicable scientific/technical methods, and to develop their knowledge in the exciting and developing epidemiology arena
Required qualifications:
- MSc or PhD in biostatistics, statistics, epidemiology, health economics or related discipline
- Excellent organizational skills including written and verbal communication
- Detail oriented with the ability to multi-task efficiently
- Experience in the use of SAS, Stata and/or R
- Excellent oral and written English communication skills, coupled with strong interpersonal skills
Additional preferred qualifications:
• A desire to develop skills in leading projects, including being point of contact for clients
• Familiar with SQL, STATA and WinBUGS
• 1-2 years of previous experience in either consultancy or pharmaceutical company
