The role:
ICON plc are currently recruiting for a Learning & Development Specialist. This role is to support the training team with pharmacovigilance related training activities on behalf on one of our clients. Tasks including, but not limited to, monitoring/preparing reports for training compliance and management of training curriculums. There will also be opportunities to support wider initiatives and projects as and when they arise.

Skills

  • Sound knowledge of ICH-GCP, regulatory requirements, directives, and procedures relating to pharmacovigilance
  • Sound knowledge of the drug development processes, regulation awareness and scientific terminology
  • Excellent organizational skills, be logical, systematic and curious; must be able to gather and interpret relevant information; ability to work in a high volume and strict deadline environment
  • An understanding of drug, biologics and device clinical trial development processes
  • Ability and comfort with speaking in front of large audiences via teleconference, web conferencing or face to face meetings
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate and interact effectively with all levels of personnel, including external vendors

Experience required:

  • 2 years’ experience in Pharmacovigilance/Patient Safety within a CRO or pharmaceutical company
  • Experience with delivery of training desirable, but not necessary Excellent writing, editing and proofreading skills
  • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and other software applications
  • Effective decision-making skills, sound judgement, and strong technical aptitude.
  • Strong organization and analytical skills, with strong attention to detail.
  • Strong self-starter and self-motivator, with the ability to work autonomously.
