As Manager, CTM you will manage Clinical Trial Assistants (CTAs) of various levels of seniority to ensure productivity, quality performance and continuous development.
The role:
• Manage CTA staff and set clear goals and objectives to drive an expectation of excellence
• Ensure that clear goals and objectives for performance are set and understood
• Develop CTA skills, encourage growth and provide regular performance feedback
• Provide assistance and support to local and remote staff
• Identify and ensure all necessary training is provided to CTAs on an ongoing basis to optimize job performance and knowledge with particular emphasis on all relevant ICON procedures, ICH-GCP and other local regulations
• Implement individual development plans and provide coaching and mentoring to assigned CTAs
• Participate in the interviewing process for CTA candidates
• Make recommendations for CTA promotions
• Maintain regular 1:1 communication with assigned CTAs
• Monitor and evaluate CTA workload and liaise with Resource Management and the relevant Clinical Trial Manager as needed to ensure appropriate allocation of resources and optimal utilization and workload
• Approve vacation time and leave requests (consulting Clinical Trial Managers as appropriate)
*Oversight over CTA activities to ensure quality deliverables, including, but not limited to:
• Timely preparation of agenda and meeting minutes
• Ensuring TMF is maintained and up to date
• Ensuring tracking of PI payments and escalation where payments are outstanding
• Ensuring compliance with project-specific tracking
• Ensuring utilization of appropriate CTMS and other tracking tools
