The Role:
The Medical Data Reviewer (MDR), in close cooperation with the Medical Director (MD), sets up and coordinates the medical data review process, assists with medical data review and manages medical queries.
The MDR role requires a close collaboration with various members of the Biometrics team, most frequently but not limited to the Data Coordinator & Lead Data Manager and Clinical Data Scientist. Specifically, the MDR reviews medical data for consistency and medical plausibility and ensures that the data is comprehensive from a medical point of view across different studies and projects.
Typical responsibilities include:
Working with the Medical Directors to create the Medical Data Review Plan and Medical Review Checklist, ensuring compliance with various policies.
Collaborate with Data Management colleagues to develop and review Standard and Customised Objects.
Using your medical knowledge to respond to medical queries, consulting with a Medical Director as appropriate.
Reviewing and responding to quality control findings.
Reviewing project DCF tracking, managing and responding to queries.
Reviewing eCRFs and associated guidelines.
Manipulating data into different format for review by other colleagues, in particular the Medical Directors.

To be successful in the role, you will have:
Background as pharmacist, nurse or MD strongly preferred.
A strong knowledge of medical terminology, ideally with experience as CRA.
Previous experience in a CRO is preferably.
Experience working with EDC systems.
Fluent in written and spoken English.
Strong IT skills, in particular Microsoft Excel, and the ability to adapt to using different systems and databases.
