- Assisting the legal function with a wide range of legal matters including commercial, corporate, employment, IP/IT, data protection, litigation, compliance and any other legal matters that arise in the day to day operation of the business.
- Assisting in providing day-to-day legal support to key business stakeholders, in particular to ICON’s Medical Device and Diagnostic Research, Central Laboratory and Late Phase/Consultative Commercialization business units.
- Assisting in the negotiation of commercial contracts, including confidentiality agreements, services agreements, licensing agreements and consultancy agreements.
- Managing specific legal projects to completion, liaising with internal stakeholders around the business for input and support in such projects.
- Managing and prioritizing workload in response to business and client requirements.
- Engaging and liaising with external counsel (managing and minimizing costs to the extent possible) and managing the invoicing process.
- To undertake other reasonably related duties (including administrative tasks) as may be assigned from time to time.
- LLB, LLM or equivalent law degree preferred (third level qualifications in other disciplines will be considered if coupled with suitable and strong paralegal experience).
- proven paralegal experience in a top-tier commercial law firm or in-house legal department (preferably in the CRO/Pharmaceutical/Biotech industry)
- proven experience in commercial contract negotiation with experience in commercial law, litigation and IP/IT preferred.
