OVERVIEW
The Digital Recruitment GTOS is responsible for helping to develop, implement, and maintain the global awareness strategy for clinical trials. Specific goals are to use websites and digital marketing tactics to promote awareness of actively recruiting clinical trials. Incumbent must ensure compliance with any regulatory requirements. Incumbent should have a passion for digital marketing and social media technologies. Incumbent will be responsible for measuring the success of the program, reporting results to stakeholders, and working with colleagues to make iterative program improvements based on frequent data analysis.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
- Project management of clinical trial recruitment campaigns using digital marketing tactics including but not limited to: Search, Social Media, Email, Display, and Video.
- Stay abreast of internal and external regulations pertaining to digital marketing and it’s use in clinical research recruitment.
- Analyze new digital marketing platforms and determine opportunities to expand reach. Stay on top of trends in digital marketing, keeping an eye out for key updates and changes to platforms that may impact active and planned digital campaigns.
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders & partner vendors to design, implement, and measure the success of digital marketing campaigns for clinical trials.
- Management of and collaboration with vendors on clinical trial recruitment via omnichannel marketing tactics.
- Facilitate legal, IRB, and other approvals when necessary.
- Ensure brand integrity is maintained and represented with consistency in all digital material.
- Contribute to training, process improvement, and cross-functional awareness of digital clinical trial awareness and recruitment.
- Project management of the development and maintenance of clinical trial websites with the support of vendors and internal colleagues.
- Partner with vendors, IT, and other stakeholders to match function & design intent with compliance, editorial, and brand style guidelines.
- Partner with therapy areas on ideating, planning, and executing web enhancement projects to support individual trials or therapy areas.
- Provide web strategy thought leadership and socialize best practices to optimize UX, SEO, web traffic, and business objective performance.
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders to set goals and measure the success of clinical trial web properties via Google Analytics and other tools.
- In partnership with Senior Specialist, develop and maintain prioritized backlog and roadmap with risks and dependencies of planned web enhancements.
WHAT YOU MUST HAVE
- Bachelor or Master of Science degree in pharmaceutical marketing/social media and digital strategy/health sciences.
- At least 3 years of career experience including 1-2 years’ experience in the conduct of clinical trial recruitment.
- Experience implementing and managing digital marketing and paid social media campaigns for clinical trial recruitment.
- Strong relationship building, problem solving, innovative thinking, teamwork, and written/verbal communication skills.
- A “can-do” attitude in a fast-paced environment. Ability to identify potential project-related risks and solutions, collaborate with teams to mitigate risks, and engage in contingency planning to recommend solutions
- Excellent analytical, organizational, project management, and time management skills.
- Experience working in a global environment and the project management of translated content is a plus.
- Experience leveraging video content for digital marketing is a plus.
- Knowledge and compliance with applicable FDA and other governmental regulations related to clinical trial recruitment.
- Pharmaceutical industry/healthcare experience.
- Experience with analysis of digital marketing campaigns using a variety of analytics tools including Google Analytics, internal reporting tools, and platform native tools. The ability to synthesize and summarize available data to share learnings.

- Experience with content management systems (preferably WordPress) is a plus.
- Understanding of digital accessibility including WCAG and other accessibility standards is a plus.
