About the Director Medical & Scientific Affairs role within ICON: 

The Director Medical & Scientific Affairs will provide senior level leadership for medical and scientific affairs related to Medical Imaging.  Interact with clients from a Business Development and operational perspective providing medical, regulatory, scientific and clinical trial insights for developing clients, strategic opportunities and specific projects.

The Director Medical & Scientific Affairs will provide overall medical leadership for in-house studies; oversee studies from imaging protocol setup, imaging quality control, independent radiology read design, read methodology and reader training and re-training; specialized in  (though not exclusive to) trials using multiple modalities, including CT, MRI and PET/CT.

Identify new potential imaging biomarkers for clinical trials and take the leadership for clinical trials utilizing cutting-edge techniques of CT and MR, develop and lead blinded read strategy and team internal and external to Medical Imaging, develop and design Charters, and methods and processes for project execution

To succeed you will need:

You will have a MD or local equivalent with radiology training along with a minimum of 7 years in the Medical Imaging industry. At least five years of industry experience and at least 10 years of radiology experience after completion of radiology training. You must have effective verbal and interpersonal skills and be able to work in a team environment while demonstrating independent initiative.

Preferably experience in medical, imaging or pharmaceutical field
