The role:
To support the translation operational teams by recruiting, screening, testing, and maintaining the linguist supplier database for the ICON Language Services department while ensuring compliancy with department SOP requirements and processes.
Support the management of the Supplier Database, including, but not limited to contract renewal, upkeep of supplier contact information, supplier questionnaires, supplier KPIs, etc.
Recruit suppliers from external relevant databases and web sites to fulfill strategic and project translation needs
Conduct supplier interviews, supplier testing and coordinate the routing of supplier profiles through the approval process
Negotiate supplier rates
Monitor supplier reports, facilitate and participate actively in discussions on action plans on suppliers
Contribute to the scoping out and testing of new features of supplier database systems related to resource coordination
Support the supplier invoice payment process
Address supplier invoice queries
Handle other duties and tasks as allocated to you at the discretion of line manager
Responsible for ensuring compliance with all relevant SOPs, policies and procedures
Liaise between ICON Language Services project managers and suppliers to fulfill resource needs for projects
Effectively and expediently manage urgent queries and tasks related to resourcing needs
To be successful in the role, you will have:
Possess strong critical thinking skills
Ability to re-prioritize in a fast-paced working environment
Excellent organizational and time-management skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a support team is a must
Comply with ICON administrative, training and human resources policies
Assist with continuous departmental process improvements in addition to day-to-day duties
Experience in vendor management is preferred
