Position Overview

This role is unique in the market and is a great career building opportunity.

Reporting directly to the Director of Global Benefits and based in our Dublin office you will also have the flexibility for hybrid working.

The ideal person

The ideal person is passionate about retirement as you will be building a global strategy for our global retirement portfolio.  You will also oversee broader benefits plans including medical, insurances and allowances. And if you haven’t done this before, be willing to learn on the job.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Retirement lead for ICONs global retirement portfolio primarily defined contribution plans. 
  • Develops health, life, disability insurance programs.
  • Participates in development of benefits strategy; compares plan design and rates with market benchmarks
  • Managing vendor relationships
  • Monitors Benefit programs; emphasizing provider performance, efficient plan utilization
  • Develops Metrics for reporting to the leadership team.
  • Stay abreast of benefit trends and laws.
  • Global Benefits involvement in competitive analysis, strategy design, Risk and Insurance Management
  • Performs side-by-side comparisons for due diligence for acquisitions.
  • Build relationships and collaborates with all key stakeholders – internally and externally
  • Participate in the development of overall Global Benefit strategies as part of the Performance and Reward team.
  • Conducts research, prepares requests for proposals (RFPs), oversees the selection of providers, negotiates contracts and prepares plan summary documents for benefit offerings.
  • Special projects as assigned
  • Contributes to the Performance & Reward Team effort

Knowledge, Skills and Qualifications

  • Minimum of five years of experience in retirement is an advantage. 
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Experience with vendor and broker management is desired but not essential
  • Strong analytical, planning, organizing, and adaptation skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to map processes and services from end-to-end to identify gaps and improve efficiency
  • Time management skills
  • Highly resourceful and a consistent ability to multi-task and meet deadlines
  • Detail oriented and self-driven
  • A strong teammate that can work independently as part of a Global team
