Scientific Program Manager - Bethesda, MD

ICON Government and Public Health Solutions (IGP) is seeking a Scientific Program Manager to join our team to support the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID).

Responsibilities:

• Provides scientific expertise needed to independently manage, design and implement policies and procedures related to the
• organization’s scientific programs.
• Analyzes current policies and procedures and suggests/develops improvements.
• Independently directs/monitors staff responsible for developing, installing and maintaining scientific program
• Collects, analyzes and creates scientific program information.
• Analyzes current scientific programs and develops/proposes new initiatives.
• Collaborates with upper management and prepares reports to keep them updated on new and ongoing programs and ctivities.
• Coordinates workshops and reports their outcomes.
• Evaluates current scientific programs and determines if changes need to be made.
• Assists in preparing/ developing future strategic plan.
• Prepares and provides educational materials to staff

Qualifications:

Education:

• D. in Biology, Life Sciences or other related discipline.
• Three (3) years of specialized experience plus a Master’s degree is equivalent to a Ph.D.
• Five (5) years of specialized experiences plus a Bachelor’s degree is equivalent to a Ph.D.

Experience:

• Four (6) years of experience in biology or other related field.
• Demonstrates knowledge of a broad range of scientific and technical areas.
• Demonstrates strong managerial experience.
• Demonstrates expertise with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, etc.).
• Must be a US Citizen
• Ability to obtain a Level 5: Public Trust
• Location: Bethesda, MD (sponsor)
