ROLE: Senior Financial Accountant - Equity Administration
LOCATION: Leopardstown, D18 (HYBRID)
Job Summary
The Senior Financial Accountant – Equity Administration will lead the accounting and administration of the Company’s Global Equity programs ensuring they run smoothly and are maintained in compliance with company, accounting and legal requirements.
The position is responsible for all aspects of Share Plan Management globally in conjunction with our stock plan administration partner, and for ensuring that all Tax Filing and Accounting rules are complied with, disclosures in financial statements are accurate, and that close period calendars are communicated and adhered to.The holder of the role will provide support and analysis for process improvements, projects and education initiatives.
While the role will predominantly support ICON’s Share Plan administration and accounting, the role will also support the wider ICON Group Reporting team including supporting the monthly consolidation process, quarterly/annual reporting process and other ad hoc projects.
Job Description
The role holder will play a pivotal role in the development and maintenance of robust share plan administration processes. Key responsibilities include the following:
- Develop and maintain stock plan processes including stock grants, exercises, replenishment, lapses, and reporting of payroll and taxes (including Restricted Stock Units, Performance Share Units and Stock Options)
- Play a key role in the monthly and quarterly preparation of the consolidated group numbers relevant to stock compensation and equity
- Work with internal finance teams and external advisers to ensure compliance with tax filing and payment obligations globally
- Work closely with internal Legal, Finance and Payroll teams globally to manage stock transactions and ensure appropriate approvals are in place
- Prepare employee communications relating to stock plans and processes
- Support the group finance team in the wider monthly consolidation process, the preparation key group external filings (6K, 20F and IFRS accounts) and the external audit.
- This individual will be proficient and comfortable in accounting technical research and interpretation across multiple GAAPs
- The individual should be a self-starter, a strong communicator, and a proven project manager
You will have:
- 1 year PQE ACA/ACCA with industry experience desirable
- “Big 4” experience preferred but not essential.
- Stock compensation/equity administration experience desirable
- Advanced Excel knowledge.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to work on own initiative as well as experience being a team player.
- A drive to deliver successful projects and seek promotional opportunities.
