Senior Marketing Manager, Labs & Early Phase at ICON:

In this position, you will join a growing marketing team with responsibility for establishing and implementing strategic and tactical marketing and communication plans designed to capitalize on market opportunities and generate demand. Working with internal and external resources, this individual will deliver multi-channel marketing programs that build brand awareness, provide a steady flow of sales leads, and measure the return on marketing investments.

About Early Phase Services

ICON is the world's second largest provider of Early Phase clinical development services. We operate state-of-the-art clinical facilities for healthy volunteers in Europe and N. America, which help generate pivotal information of efficacy, dose response and time effects of novel drugs.

Responsibilities:

  • Participate in service business unit leadership team meetings to understand business challenges and priorities

  • Work with service business unit management and subject matter experts to develop a comprehensive marketing plan aligned to strategic objectives and business unit plans

  • Work with subject matter experts to coordinate the creation of thought leadership publications, positioning messaging and content, and sales support collateral, for use in lead generation and brand development

  • Define market segmentation, targeting and positioning for various services

  • Implement marketing plan with assistance of internal marketing operations and external agencies

  • Execute integrated (digital-centric) campaigns to generate demand & sales leads

  • Manage the creation of marketing collateral and sales support tools across all stages of the customer buying journey

  • Be accountable for measuring and reporting on campaign performance & ROI

  • Responsible for: Reputation > Relationships > Revenue

  • Collaborate with Market Program Managers for events, conferences and tradeshows

  • Collaborate with Business Development and Global Key Account Directors to support their efforts to achieve sales targets

  • Maintain knowledge of marketing trends, development and best practices

To succeed you will need:

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration or Life Sciences

  • Minimum of 5 years' marketing experience with proven track record of success in marketing management role, strong understanding of marketing for professional services

  • Experience using CRM required

  • CRO/pharmaceutical industry experience preferred but not required

  • Exceptional knowledge of marketing strategies, concepts and practices in a business to business environment

  • Strong project management and performance measurement skills

  • Ability to combine and analyse performance data to develop metrics that support decision-making for resource allocation and campaign refinement

  • Self-motivated, resourceful, and have excellent written and verbal communication as well as leadership skills.
