Job Description Summary:

Symphony Health is a leading provider of data and analytics to the healthcare industry. Our clients rely on us to deliver accurate and timely insights to help them make informed decisions. We are seeking a highly experienced Database Administrator III to join our team to help build and maintain our data integration pipelines.  As a Database Administrator III, you will be responsible for designing, building, and managing our data integration and processing systems. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement data solutions that are efficient, scalable, and meet business requirements.

Job Description:

  • Manage and support Oracle RDMS, Oracle Exadata, Cloudera CDP, and other data platforms that reside in a data center and in public cloud environments.

  • Design, implement and manage highly available, scalable, and secure database solutions.

  • Work closely with other engineering and operations teams to ensure proper integration of database infrastructure with other systems.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to database performance, security, and availability.

  • Manages, monitors, and maintains multiple databases to ensure necessary resources are present. 

  • Develops scripts for database monitoring and to automate routine tasks. 

  • Completes SQL tuning and database performance optimization, balancing usability and automation.

  • Point of escalation for issues and request for client group.

  • Executes planned database maintenance.

  • Enhance technical documentation to improve efficiency and effectiveness.

  • Mentors junior team members.

  • Advanced knowledge of database environments, control systems, software development lifecycle (etc).

  • Advanced knowledge of ITIL methodology. 

  • Advanced customer service/communication skills.

  • Advanced ability to evaluate and implement database tuning.

  • Bachelor’s degree or international equivalent.

  • At least 5 years of relevant experience.
