ICON’s Early Phase proposals team is comprised of high performing professionals who take pride in delivering timely, client-focused proposals for clinical pharmacology and scientific support services.   We are in search of a Senior Proposal Associate (Sr PA) to join our successful team. 

Senior Proposal Associate (Sr PA) role within ICON: 

The Sr PA will independently lead strategic proposal opportunities, as well as review draft proposals prepared by other Proposal Associates.  The Sr PA will report to the Proposals Manager, and will provide backup for both the Proposals Director and Manager when required.  This position will be based in either the Hanover, MD or San Antonio, TX offices.  Home-based applicants are also encouraged to apply.

Core responsibilities include:

·         Leading, writing, and coordinating proposals and revisions with minimal supervision, based upon information provided by Business Development.

·         Writing a strong, client focused proposal that presents ICON’s solution for the project and emphasizes key experience and selling points, by capturing operational and sales strategy input from all internal team members and senior management. 

·         Creating and reviewing project budgets that accurately reflect the scope of work described within the Request for Proposal (RFP), and working with senior management to assure appropriate levels of profitability.

·         Leading multiple, complex proposal opportunities simultaneously while adhering to fast paced deadlines and high quality standards.

·         Critiquing, reviewing, and approving proposal deliverables prepared by other proposal team members.

·         Providing backup for Proposals Director and Manager when required, including:  approval of final proposal deliverables, opportunity triage, and management of departmental workload assignments.

·         Ability to react quickly to change while meeting strict client deadlines and quality standards.

• Experience in Clinical Research, Pharmaceutical, CRO, or related industry strongly preferred.
• Experience in Proposals, Contracts, Business Development, Project Management, and/or Marketing strongly preferred.
• A minimum of 3+ years of related industry and/or proposals experience strongly preferred.
• Familiarity/experience with Phase I protocols preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree or local equivalent strongly preferred.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, and Adobe Acrobat) required.
