Software Architect
Location- Cologne can be flexible
This position is based in Cologne and will require EU citizenship or the appropriate German work visa to apply.
We are looking for a java software architect for our ADDPLAN DF software
ADDPLAN DF is a statistics software used for dose estimation and sample size calculation in planning clinical trials. It is developed in Java and C using SWIG as an interface and eclipse as an SDE. The build environment uses Maven, Jenkins and Nexus to establish automated tests and nightly snapshots.
Responsibilities:
? Collaborate with statisticians to collect user requirements
? Extend the functionality of software according
? Actively participate in daily scrum meetings
? Actively participate in sprint review and sprint planning
? Adjust the design and architecture of the software
? Adjust the installation process and configuration
? Keep track of the build server, adjust build process
Requirements:
? Master degree in Mathematics, Informatics or Natural Sciences (desired)
? 5+ years of experience in Java client application development
? Expert knowledge in OOA and OOD
? 2+ years of experience in automated build processes with Maven/Jenkins/Nexus
? A deep interest in biostatistics and statistical algorithms
? Experience and knowledge of C development
? Scrum experience
? Experience of software development in regulated environments
? Experience with Application Lifecycle Management Systems (e.g. Polarion)
? Knowledge about tools for code coverage, quality checks, etc.
The development group is located in Cologne and the position will require EU citizenship or the appropriate German work visa to apply.
The position is either office based or home based (within Germany) with regular visits in the office in 3-4 week intervals for the sprint meetings.
Travel: Up to 10%
