Snr Report Developer

Location: Chennai

Role Overview

Develop/Update reports following a documented process from requirements through to implementation. Act as a consultancy to Business Users to develop suitable reporting solutions

Supervise or Mentor Report Developers within the PTS group

Role Requirements

· Travel (approximately 5%) domestic and/or international

· Use Business Object software to develop reports per specifications from the existing universe(s) for

· PTS supported applications.*

· Review report request and report specification documents to determine if development can be completed as put forth. Recommend changes or present additional options if development cannot be completed as requested.*

· Create a technical specification document for core and metrics reports at the time of completion.*

· Implement quality measures and ensure quality and data accuracy in all developed reports.•

· Use Business Object software to maintain and enhance the existing reporting universe(s) for PTS supported applications

· Assist Business Users in understanding data structures and reporting options and limitations

· Identify and communicate date: integration opportunities with other clinical applications; e.g., EDC, IVR systems, etc.

· Collaborate with information Technology and others in PTS to define how BO universes should be designed.

· Assist with implementation and post-implementation Clinical Support Structures as requested

· Provide user support activities in adherence with ICON SOPs, SSF's and appropriate regulations.

· Interface with IT to evaluate, resolve and communicate reporting system-related issues impacting users.

· Provide management with feedback on the efficiency of reports and the reporting universe and offer suggestions for improvement

· Other duties as assigned

EXPERIENCE, SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS

· A minimum of four years direct experience with report development in Business Objects.

· Prior relevant experience with report development in Business Objects.

· Excellent organizational and written skills and the ability to positively interact with staff at all levels in our organization are essential.

· Excellent problem solving and assessment skills.

· Ability to successfully develop reports 'from written specifications.

· The qualified individual must have a strong technical knowled1 e of and experience with information systems and database applications and related Reporting functions. Experience with IT technology, SDLC processes is preferred.

· Ability to work within a team environment and to manage competing priorities in a changing environment.

· Possess basic knowledge, of enterprise clinical systems and data structures

· Basic understanding of Clinical Trial processes and roles involved in updating data in systems (Preferred)

· Due to the nature of this position it may be required for the employee to travel. Therefore, dependent on the employees; location, the employee may be required to possess a valid Driver’s license.

· Bachelor’s degree, or local equivalent, in life sciences, business, technology, information technology or related discipline
