The Role:

At ICON, we have some opportunities for Laboratory Support Operatives/ Clinical Sample Processors to join our team in our Leopardstown, Dublin 18 location.

The Clinical Sample Processing team play a crucial part in ICON’s Laboratory. This is a fast paced environment where eye for detail is critical.

You will play a key role in collaborating with our Laboratory. The role does not require previous Pharmaceutical experience.

Heavy lifting will be involved with the moving of pallets and shipments, Computer literacy is required.

The roles are permanent and full time (37.5 hours), Monday – Friday.

Key responsibilities:

• Responsible for data entry of patient's demographics into the computer system. Documents and researches any problems with received specimens.
• Adheres to OSHA and the Company's Health and Safety regulations and security procedures at all times. Understands the principles of accreditation and QA procedures
• Store in samples based on protocol specifications, as well as accountability for storage samples
• Preparing and packing of shipments.
• Quality checking of accession forms, scanning of paperwork into database. Archiving visit documentation
• Bar code labelling and validation of specimens and transport of specimens to the technicians in the laboratory to be analyzed.
• Accepts and documents sample deliveries from couriers.  Unpacks packages, receives shipments into database
• Facilitate removal and collection of all hazardous waste from laboratory
• Escalating any problems to senior members of the team
• Additional responsibilities as requested by management of Sample Management

• Good general PC skills
