As a member of the Finance and HR Systems management team, the HRIS Manager will have responsibility for the effective functioning of all HR software systems *LI-MB1


JOB FUNCTIONS/RESPONSIBILITIES

  • As a manager, the employee is expected to embrace and contribute to our culture of process improvement with a focus on streamlining our processes adding value to our business and meeting client needs.
  • Travel (approximately 15%) domestic and/or international
  • Manage the day to day activities of the HRIS team. This will include a mixture of support and project related work
  • Act as an escalation point for any issues that cannot be resolved within the team
  • Provide monthly, quarterly and ad hoc reports to Department Heads as requested.
  • Act as main point of contact for HRIS Team during Audits and specific requests for audit-related reports.
  • Work with senior members of HR community and the Director of Finance and HR Systems to determine HRIS systems strategy in line with business priorities
  • Understand how HR technology can contribute to the overall goals of the HR function
  • Support the HR management team with regard to ad hoc projects as appropriate
  • Other duties as assigned.

SUPERVISION

  • Manage motivate and lead HRIS team of staff (approximately 5 people)
  • Provide regular feedback to manager on work status and problem areas
  • Engage with projects to ensure timely delivery of fit for purpose systems and solutions
  • Drive delivery of high quality products on agreed deadlines, promptly escalates issues
  • Actively support teamwork both within own group and across the Applications group, by offering assistance to other team members in an effort to achieve team goals
  • Participates/leads discussions that result in optimal solutions
  • Has an excellent understanding of the ICON organization and interdependencies between groups.
  • Has an excellent understanding of ICON’s applications and systems and solutions

EXPERIENCE, SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS

  • A minimum of 3 years proven experience in managing HR related systems and projects within a significant and diverse HR function.
  • A minimum of 2 years’ experience with Workday HR systems
  • Strong working knowledge of other industry standard HR solutions (example: Taleo)
  • Strong working knowledge of HR practices and procedures
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • 3 years’ experience as a people manager
  • High level of proficiency with MS desktop solutions (Word, Excel etc)

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelors Degree in Business/HR or a related discipline
