Position Summary:
Oversees end-to-end clinical supply chain activities to support clinical programs. Collaborates with cross-functional stakeholders in defining and executing operational strategy for clinical supply plans to align with program and study milestones. Identifies operational risks and implements contingency/mitigation plans for clinical supply activities. Provides functional leadership to direct reports, including hiring, training, staff assignments, coaching/mentoring, performance management and professional development.
- Sets clinical supply budgets, manages workload forecasting, resource balancing and ensures optimal utilization across one or more projects/programs.
- Maintains effective team by recruiting, selecting, orienting, training, and coaching employees; ensures a safe, secure, and compliant work environment; provides employees with professional development and growth opportunities. Achieves staff results by communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results; coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; developing, coordinating, and enforcing systems, policies, procedures, and productivity standards.
- Maintains quality service by enforcing quality and customer service standards; analyzing and resolving quality and customer service problems; identifying trends; and recommending system improvements.
- Proactively identifies risks and issues and proposes/implements sustainable solutions to resolve the problems and prevent from reoccurring.
- Creates and tracks key performance indicators (KPIs) in the end-to-end clinical supply chain management sector and leads continuous improvement and change.
- Basic knowledge of company people management policies and procedures, including hiring, performance management, corrective action, and compensation administration
- Basic people management skills including coaching, interviewing, and providing feedback and recognition
- Working knowledge of clinical supply chain management and associated processes
- Working knowledge of applicable regulations pertaining to clinical supplies including GMP and ICH/GCP guidelines
- Working knowledge of the drug development process
- Good written and oral communication
- Ability to manage/lead in-house and remote team members
- BA/BS + 3 yrs relevant experience including 1 year in a leadership capacity
