                      Team Lead AR


To serve as the AR Team Lead in the Finance department and oversee the day to day operations of the billing functions, including but not limited to: Supervision and training of staff; Management of unbilled balances; daily and month end processes; client contract billing, reporting and analysis; compliance with established Company and SOX policies and procedures.

 

JOB FUNCTIONS/RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Travel (approximately 5%) domestic and/or international
• * Manage the end to end billing functions to ensure that invoices and credit memos are generated in accordance with the contract terms in an accurate and timely manner.
• * Assure that project budget tracking is performed by staff and that billing is in line with budget.
• * Provide guidance to team on day to day billing matters; establish processes as needed for new clients.
• *Develop and write policies and procedures as necessary.
• * Routinely meet with staff to evaluate, plan and prioritize workload.
• * Prepare, Analyze and interpret monthly unbilled reports to effectively manage and prioritize billing.
• * Foster strong customer service; serve as an escalation point to provide support and dispute resolution to customers in a timely manner.
• * Interface with Project Management, Contracts and other departments to obtain up to date information concerning contracts, change orders and other issues that impact billing.
• * Respond to and resolve client inquiries and work with the Accounts Receivable department to assist with resolution of billing issues that may impact collections.
• Manage monthly processes, reconciliations and reporting to meet month end deadlines.
• Assist manager with ad hoc reports and special projects as needed.
• Assume other reasonably related duties as may be assigned from time to time.

Responsible for continuously reviewing and adjusting processes to gain efficiencies.
• * Supervise, train and, support employees as needed to ensure department runs smoothly.
• * Ensure employee’s meet training and development requirements.
• * Responsible for goal setting, monitoring and evaluating employee performance against the established goals
• * Responsible for day-to-day operations; ability to make decisions independently.

EXPERIENCE, SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS

 

• To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. • A minimum of 5 years Accounting, Contracts or Contract Billing experience.
• Thorough understanding of Contracts, Project Accounting, and Contract to Cash billing processes.
• Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Ability to interpret and analyze financial data
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office applications and spreadsheet applications.
• Strong organization, time management, and problem solving skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to build and maintain strong relationships.
• Proven leadership skills, ability to develop skills of direct reports and positively impact team morale
