The Role: Business Continuity Program Coordinator

Role is the support and coordination function of the Global Business Continuity program where you will assist the Program Manager and Global BC Team Leads with the necessary support, input and administrative assistance in all aspects of the BC program.

  • Ability and willingness to travel at least 25% of the time (international and domestic: fly and drive)
  • Knowledge of ICON Plc Business Continuity SOPs/WPs, and Business Continuity Good Practice Guidelines. 
  • Assist with the development, maintenance, or implementation of business continuity and recovery strategies and solutions, including risk assessments, business impact analyses, strategy selection, and documentation of business continuity procedures.
  • Assist with the implementation of the Business Continuity Management Software (BCMS). 
  • Assist Program Manager and Global BC Team Leads with:
  • Analysis and assessment of key business processes via Business Impact Analysis
  • Definition of critical time sensitive functions
  • Design, development and documentation of department BC plans
  • Assist with the training / awareness for business partner associates and BC participants.
  • Assist with the support to management and stakeholders when a business interruption occurs that may require the activation of the BC Plan, including providing 24x7 on-call support.
  • Assist with client and sponsor audits as it relates to Business Continuity.
  • Other duties as assigned in supporting any activities or responsibilities lead by the Facilities function.

What you will need:

  • Degree preferred
  • 3+ years’ experience in a similar role
  • Flexible hours required
  • Solid knowledge of Microsoft Business Suite, especially Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint
  • High level of attention to detail
  • Personable, able to build rapport with internal stakeholders with ease
  • Ability to work unsupervised and with limited direction
  • Excellent organizational, written and verbal communication skills and ability to interact with all levels of personnel
