As a Data Scientist I you will be responsible for developing business requirements with project managers and analytic leads and other clinical staff to create industry decision support solutions, including clinical trial tokenization (CTT) analytics, that are used in the course of study conduct by the enterprise teams and our sponsor clients.

Roles & responsibilities:

• Help to design data analysis plans that turn data objects into actionable analytic solutions.
• Understand the data assets and tools used by the Medical Informatics team to deliver analytic solutions for our internal and external clinical research stakeholders.
• Develop solutions related to the support of clinical research studies in the planning or operational stage.
• Collaborate with internal staff to help build best practice solutions in a team environment.
• Document analytic frameworks, work processes, program libraries and data dictionaries.
• Oversee pre-deployment testing of solutions in a development environment to ensure delivery of the required functional analytics.
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritizing and tracking technical and functional details and meeting the various deadlines and milestones of multiple projects with varying completion dates.
• As a member of staff, the employee is expected to embrace and contribute to a culture of process improvement with a focus on streamlining our processes, adding value to our business and meeting client needs.
• Travel (approximately 0%) domestic and/or international.

What you need:

• Healthcare RWD experience is essential for this role. 5+ years’ experience working with transactional health data such as medical, prescription, and EMR/EHR is required.
• Degree qualified – Computer Science or other STEM discipline
• 3 years’ experience within a similar technical role
• Programming skills (SQL, Python, Java, C#, HPLSQL, R) needed
• Relational database and/or DFS experience (Hadoop, Oracle, MySQL)
• Platform flexibility (Windows, Linux)
• Data modeling/machine learning skills

Would be a plus:

• RDBMS/HDFS ETL experience (object development/creation/maintenance/updating)
• Data modeling/machine learning skills
