Role Summary

The Director of Clinical Operations Management will work closely with VP, Clinical Operations APAC in the implementation of a business strategy to expand capabilities for countries across Asia Pacific Region. This role will be located in Beijing or Shanghai, China.

ICON is seeking a Director Clinical Operations to provide leadership for the overall performance, quality, execution, control and completion of all Clinical Operations services within APAC region. Successful candidate will drive the completion and delivery of the end to end services through a variety of metrics and KPI's. This role will contribute directly towards ICON achieving growth in both sales and quality within the CRO market place while leading CRA Management teams in mainland China. Within the matrix structure, work with the functional heads to agree any changes and operational deliveries across their region.

The Director Clinical Operations will carry out all relevant line management responsibilities including goal-setting and development plans. Drive a performance driven culture across the region while also heavily working on resource planning and strategy development to maintain appropriate headcount and developing key relationships with customers and where needed participate on customer steering committees.

To succeed you will need:

The successful candidate will possess an educational degree with extensive experience conducting and overseeing clinical trials and ICH GCP. You will need 10+ years direct line management and project management experience within a CRO or Pharmaceutical environment with strong people management experience. Clinical Operations oversight skills, commercial awareness and operational P&L experience required. Successful candidate will be proficient in drug development with significant experience working in Clinical Research
