Director, Clinical Project Delivery (US or Canada Remote)

As a Director of Project Delivery you will be joining the world’s largest & most comprehensive clinical research organisation, powered by healthcare intelligence.

The Director of Project Delivery will create and maintain client relationships to secure repeat business with assigned clients, projects and/or portfolios through successful delivery of project timelines and quality data while maintaining profitability.

What you will be doing:

• Delivers projects on time, on budget and to client expectations and appropriate quality standards. Ensures project team has relevant strategies in place to maintain bid profitability.
• Builds and maintains strong relationships with assigned clients and serves as a member of the oversight/operations committees.
• Owns the operational strategy of new bids and bid defense meetings.
• Ensures appropriate project management resourcing strategy in place to meet corporate and project objectives for new and ongoing projects.
• Participates in the development, deployment and achievement of corporate and project delivery related strategy, initiatives and objectives.

• Oversees and ensures maximum performance of project team’s planning, execution and risk management.

• Organizes recurrent meetings with client to review and discuss risks, status and opportunities to improve delivery, profitability, quality and client satisfaction.

• Supports the development of company’s business with new and existing customers by identifying potential opportunities with existing and new clients.

• Coaches and mentors staff and provides feedback on performance.

You are:

• 15 years of relevant experience
• Bachelor’s degree
• Sound knowledge of applicable policies and procedures, SOPs, work instructions and other guidance documents
• Strong knowledge of cross-functional project management and company systems
• Strong knowledge of company financial processes, systems and utilization
• Strong leadership skills
• Ability to accurately validate project work and resourcing strategy
• Ability to represent project delivery in cross-functional activities / initiatives
• Issues are nonrecurring and novel. Issue definition requires input from multiple sources, both internal and external. Requires creative thinking and critical judgment to create new solutions and concepts. Solutions often require using resources outside the organization for data, advice, etc. May develop entirely new ways of conducting operations.
• Translates vision into strategic objectives. Defines the future course of action for the functional area. Impact is on medium to long-term goals.
• Adapts style and uses persuasion in delivering messages. Develops recommendations to sell ideas or services. Frequently advises others on complex matters.
