Healthcare Analytics Intern

Symphony Health is looking to place talented students in an exciting and fast paced summer internship program! 

With this internship, students will have the opportunity to gain valuable exposure and hands on experience with market research and consulting projects as well as mentoring at a healthcare industry leader in data analytics and technology solutions. 

What will you do?

The Healthcare Analytics Intern will support our Research Consulting team which is responsible for preliminary and ongoing research around a pharmaceutical client’s market of interest. Utilizing your interest in market research, strong Excel skills, and your ability to write basic SQL queries, you will help ensure our client’s projects kick off with the right data to define business questions.

What do you need to have? 

• 0 – 2 Years of related experience 

• Currently enrolled in graduate studies, possibly in Business Analytics, Statistics, Engineering, Healthcare Policy, Economics, or related field

• Interest in doing healthcare research and to summarize findings for client presentations.

• Ability to write basic SQL queries

• Strong MS Office skills, especially Excel

• Exposure to healthcare or pharma is a plus, but not required

• Experience working with healthcare claims data, US census or consumer data is a plus.

• Good organizational and time management skills, with strong attention to detail 

• Good communication and interpersonal skills 

• Read, write and speak English fluently 

• Availability to work full time
