The Manager, Client Engagement is responsible for driving new business opportunities in new and existing client accounts and providing leadership to the internal delivery teams to help assure excellence and client satisfaction, The Manager is the lead client-facing contact responsible client relationship, including engagement kickoffs, account maintenance, and upselling opportunities.
Responsibilities will be tied directly to business development, operations, client engagement and strategy development as outlined by the employee's FM and departmental leadership:
- Has management responsibility through collaboration with the delivery and project management teams as well as planning for the teams’ future needs and operations
- Maintains a positive, results oriented and engaging work environment
- Performs a leadership role in ensuring the various departments involved in delivery are communicating and coordinating efforts to provide superior services to internal and external customers
- Works cross-functionally. Provides strategic leadership and interacts frequently with other departments and service lines as appropriate
- Assist with the training /mentoring of assigned team members in the principles and conduct of the services offered by the department, the system used to support these services and adherence to SOPs and ICON system compliance
- Line management of all assigned staff and/or Specialists/Associates within the group and leadership of the team including being able to effectively manage a remote global team members
- Offering assistance and mentoring to team members to create a supportive working environment, developing effective working relationships with the team to enable an atmosphere of motivation, creativity and innovation whilst providing opportunities for future grown and career development within the team
- Act as a mentor to team members and encourage and train others to mentor more junior staff as part of their personal development and to lead by example and set high standards that others will follow
- This individual may also work with vendors to drive strategy and delivery
- Support the development of strategies to address the objectives of the project/client assigned in alignment with departmental offerings
- Support BDMs, KOMs, capabilities presentation, partnership meetings
- Responsible for study strategies and collaboration with other service line within the division
- Expert knowledge of applicable ICON & Accellacare SOPs, ICH-GCP and applicable regulations
- Expert knowledge of applicable ICON/Accellacare systems
- Reporting on team and study deliverables
- Lead the development of training materials to support the goals for the department/division
- As needed provide oversight to more junior members of staff assigned to the study, this includes but not limited to delegation of tasks and ensuring accountability
- Communicate performance indicators of the department on assigned RFPs and/or studies
- To undertake other reasonably related duties as my be assigned from time to time
Responsibilities:
- Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences or equivalent
- 3-6 years of related experience
- Strong MS Office experience (Excel and PowerPoint)
- Client Facing role, strong communication skills
