About the Medical Technologist (part-time) role within ICON: 

The Medical Technologist will be responsible for performing technical assignments and testing in the general laboratory department, entering and releasing required information in the Laboratory Information System, such as test results, comments, and quality control results.  Will consult with laboratory supervisory staff prior to reporting grossly abnormal results and when out of control test run is encountered.

The Medical Technologist will also prepare reagents as needed, maintain quality control records, compile any required statistical data and maintain the cleanliness of work areas.

To succeed you will need:

You will have sufficient testing experience within a lab environment where you demonstrated excellent analytical, organization, and documentation skills and hold a BS in Medical Technology or equivalent.  You must possess a New York State License as a Clinical Laboratory Technologist.

A Certification from American Society of Clinical Pathologists and Molecular diagnostic and/or Nucleic Acid and PBMC preparation experience is preferred.   Will need to have the ability to lift 5-10 lbs.
