Oracle ERP PTP Business Analyst
12 months contract based in Leopardstown, Dublin
We can offer a fixed term contract or a day rate contract
ICON are under taking a transformation of our financial systems footprint. We are both upgrading our existing financial system from Oracle R11 to R12 (Phase 1) but we are also implementing the core Procurement Modules in Oracle R12 (Phase 2). This role will primarily focus on the implementation of Procurement in R12 but the candidate will also have to ensure any decisions in this project are aligned with the R11 / R12 Upgrade project.
Role
· As a member of the Financial System’s team, this role will be to support the Implementation of the Oracle R12 Procurement Modules.
· As part of the Financial System’s team you will partner with procurement, finance & our implementation partner during the roll out of the core Oracle Procurement Modules in R12.
· Understand the existing R11 / R12 General Ledger, Payables & Projects architecture in order to ensure that the Procurement modules configuration is optimal and that it supports both the financial and procurement processes.
· Ensure all key configuration & processes decisions from the Procurement implementation are aligned with the financial systems team, as they work through the existing Oracle R11 / R12 Upgrade.
· As a business analyst, responsible for understanding the requirements and/or issues to be addressed, proposing, modelling, and designing a potential solution, reviewing this solution with peers, business partners and stakeholders, configuring/developing or programming appropriate functionality within the Oracle solution suite and managing the testing process to assure the business requirements have been met.
· Must be able to work closely with the business to address system enhancements and process issues.
· Recommend upgrades / patches to the Oracle EBS suite.
· Develop new extensions or configure current modules as needed to address business issues.
· Document user procedures / processes.
· Research and provide solutions to issues reported by the user or other team members.
· Design and develop RICE components as required.
· Thoroughly test configurations, business rules, extensions, enhancements / modifications and management of the migration process into the production environment.
Skills / Education
· Degree Qualified & Oracle R12 Certification
· Significant prior experience with Oracle EBS including R11 / R12.
· Has been a PTP Functional lead on at least two Oracle R12 Upgrade’s / Implementation.
· Excellent working knowledge Oracle R11 & R12 Procurement Modules (Purchasing, I-Procurement & Contracts Procurement) & Payables is mandatory. While a strong working knowledge of all the R12 financial modules is very helpful. Oracle Projects knowledge is a bonus.
· Very strong interpersonal and communication skills and ability to interact positively with upper management as well as communicating problems to appropriate teams within our organization.
· Ability to partner with senior-level management
· Strong problem solving and business process design skills with the ability to configure Oracle modules and specify extensions.
· Good understanding of how to operate on Metalink.
· Strong SQL skills will help.
