We have a great opportunity for a Licensed Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner with the desire to grow their career! As part of the clinical trial research team, the Physician Extender will have responsibility for the delivery of direct and indirect care for research studies undertaken in the clinical research unit, in accordance with the ICON standard operating procedures, the clinical trial protocol, Food and Drug Administration, Good Clinical Practice, International Conference on Harmonisation Good Clinical Practice Guidelines and the Clinical Trials Directive, Medicines for Human Use Act Statute No 1928 as appropriate.

This position is designed to assist in the screening and selection of volunteers for studies. The position will work closely with the screening/recruitment department, the physician group, and clinical unit staff to ensure that studies are recruited. This position is also designed to assist in the effective running of research studies on a day-to-day basis maintaining the confidentiality, safety, and well-being of study participants and utilizing skill knowledge and judgment to provide a high standard of care while maintaining dignity and respect at all times.

What you need

• A minimum of one years' physician assistant or nurse practitioner experience.
• 3 years of experience in a clinical environment, family practice, or internal medicine preferred.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification preferred
• Knowledge of specialized medical/scientific terminology
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Knowledge of ICH GCP and FDA GCP
• Strong ability to problem solve
• Current state license Nurse Practitioner/or licensed Physician Assistant
• High School Diploma or local equivalent
