PRICING ANALYST
LIMERICK preferable, DUBLIN
 
The Pricing Analyst will report directly to the Head of Commercial & Business Operations and will be responsible for developing and maintaining all pricing models and tools for each component on the Firecrest Service catalogue. The pricing analyst will have a key position in the commercial team and will work closely will all departments to identify cost drivers to build and maintain appropriate pricing tools to enable accurate pricing to be calculated in a timely manner. The Pricing Analyst will be responsible for developing and maintaining the rate card that will be used in Firecrest Pricing tools
 
The Pricing Analyst will work closely with the Market Analyst to monitor the market price for Firecrest services and continuously track trends. The Pricing Analyst will work closely with the continuous improvement team and department heads to identify areas where cost can be reduced to maintain and improve gross margin and incorporate in to the service catalogue and pricing tools
 
The Pricing Analyst will track budgeted cost per the pricing tool versus actual cost by component, by project and by customer to identify any variances. Each variance should be explained and a recommendation for remediation presented for approval to the Head of Commercial & Business Operations
 
The pricing Analyst will interact with relevant parties to ensure our standard pricing model is utilized on the standard bid, and priced appropriately for strategic partnering bids. The pricing Analyst will clearly articulate BAFO (Best and Final Offer), to ensure gross margin is protected. This position will require that you analyse and interpret pricing diagnostics and determine appropriate pricing strategies for various products.
 
 
JOB FUNCTIONS/RESPONSIBILITIES
 
•             Recognise, exemplify and adhere to ICON’s values which centre on our commitment to People, Clients and Performance.
•             Development and maintenance of the Service catalogue for all Firecrest Services
•             Development and maintenance of the rate card for Firecrest Services
•             Development and maintenance of all pricing models and tools for each component on the Firecrest Service catalogue.
•             Partner with the market analyst to ensure that Firecrest pricing is competitive whilst protecting gross margin
•             Work closely with the continuous improvement team and department heads to drive cost efficiencies to protect gross margin
•             Interact with relevant parties to ensure our standard pricing model is utilized on the standard bid, and priced appropriately for strategic partnering bids. The pricing Analyst will clearly articulate BAFO (Best and Final Offer), to ensure gross margin is protected
•             Track and report Budget cost versus actual cost by component, by project and by customer and measure effect any variations have on gross margin. Determine root cause of variations and present recommendation to remediate for approval and implement post approval
•             Work closely with the proposals team and assist with any out of scope pricing requests and ensure accuracy and integrity of all pricing included in proposals
•             Work closely with the Clinical Development team to developing pricing models and integrate with existing pricing models where appropriate
•             Lead and support key pricing related projects and programs
•             Perform ad hoc analyses for senior management
•             Ability to work independently and with minimal supervision
•             Strong interpersonal and team building skills; ability to work with a diverse team and influence/drive change across functional and business boundaries
 
 
EXPERIENCE, SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS
 
•             Minimum of 3 years of commercial/ pricing experience
•             Strong financial modelling skills, strong commercial acumen, with strong analytical and interpersonal skills
•             Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications
•             Strong understanding of information systems including pricing process from strategy to execution
•             Strong interpersonal and team building skills; ability to work with a diverse team and influence/drive change across functional and business boundaries
•             Strong project management, planning, and organization skills, including ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
•             Continuous improvement attitude; ability to seek out and implement internal or external best practices.
•             Excellent verbal and written communication skills
•             Very strong organizational and time management skills
•             Ability to travel (approximately 20-30%) domestic and/or international
 
 
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
 
•             Ideal candidate will be a Qualified Accountant with a minimum 3 years relevant commercial experience, with strong financial modelling skills, a strong commercial acumen, with strong analytical and interpersonal skills.
