The Role:

The Product Owner is a key role within various ICON departments, holding responsibility for leadership and oversight of budget, design, development prioritization and deployment of new, industry leading, Technology products and operational interfaces in order to support the business, create new strategic business streams, induce operational efficiencies and create commercial differentiation.


Responsibilities:

  • Keeping up to date with the innovation roadmap and other products under development and to timelines.
  • Acting as the interface between the Product team and business stakeholders ensuring they are made aware of the implications of frontend products realised through innovative product design and delivery to production.
  • Creation of software tickets in Jira for prioritisation on the relevant development teams backlog and ownership of the tickets during the software lifecycle, from creation to release.
  • The Product Owner will be required to update the relevant requirement and release documentation.
  • Linking with operational teams to help define margin focused costing models, maximise market penetration, product adoption and contribution to ROI.
  • Liaising with stakeholders to gather requirements for implementation into product releases.
  • Influence strong cross-divisional collaboration in order to ensure that the new products are fully integrated with, and complimentary to, other products and services within their department and ICON.
  • The Product Owner will ensure seamless communication flow to department managers and staff regarding deliverables, features, roadmaps and other related items.
  • Partner with other teams to ensure strong team spirit and commitment to delivery of a common goal.
  • It is the responsibility of the Product Owner to ensure that the new products, features and enhancements are developed within the scope of the approved product roadmap.
  • A level of project management is also required to track and communicate deliverables & roadmaps.

To succeed you will need:

  • Degree / Master's Degree qualified
  • Technical background (Science / Engineering)
  • 5+ years' experience within a product role
  • Experience working with Scrum / Agile methodologies
  • Experience working with Jira and Confluence
  • Experience working within a regulated environment would be nice to have
  • Proven team member with a great communication style both written and verbally
  • Superior organisational skills and comfortable leading projects to delivery dates
